Cured meats and cheese laid out on a board, with a basket of baguette alongside. Served in the evenings with a glass of wine.
Baked until the top is crisp, dusted with icing sugar and cut open to the almond inside. Good with an espresso.
A deep slice with a set savoury filling and a pastry base, warmed through and served on a plate. A regular fixture at lunchtime.
Sliced apple on thin pastry, glazed and baked flat. Sits well next to a cappuccino in the afternoon.
Iced eclairs and lemon tarts lined up in the counter cabinet, made in small numbers and set out through the day.
The counter is French through and through, proper sourdough baguettes, butter pastries and cheese, and the room is small enough that it fills up around lunchtime. Later in the week we stay open into the evening for charcuterie and wine. Rated 4.7 from 297 Google reviews.
